Distracted by choice...

OK, the thing is: how can I get back to my ring in progress when there are so many options for blog design and so many choices to make?! I've veered sharply from my original dark grey background to a clean bright white one. Who knows? It may change continually....Meanwhile, the ring awaits. As does new year's eve. It's looking like it will be a multi-year ring....

Ring in progress

Here are photos of what I'm working on now - a sterling ring without the stone, so far. Looking a little rough, straight out of the pickle pot, hence the dull whiteness. I'll clean it up, try to even out the tabs, which will hold in the stone, then set that sucker! It's a very pretty transparent pink chalcedony. Stay tuned!

Blogging 101

Hello! This is my second official attempt at teaching an old dog (me) new tricks (blogging)....I did try a few years ago, but promptly forgot where my blog site was in cyberspace! Maybe I shouldn't be admitting that. However, now that I'm furiously making jewelry again - after about 25 years - and running an online shop, I think I can get the knack of this, too....I'll be chronicling the trials and errors of remembering, learning and relearning goldsmithing techniques as I go.
